During the visit to Uzbekistan, the delegation led by the Governor of the Russian Federation Saint-Petersburg, Alexander Dmitrievich Beglov, got acquainted with the activity of the "Victory Garden" memorial complex located in the Almazor district of our capital.

The guests were solemnly welcomed by the administration of Tashkent city and Almazor district administration and the "Victory Garden" memorial complex. First, the guests laid wreaths at the base of the "Hymn of Courage" monument located in the territory of the complex. After that, they viewed the rare materials and unique exhibits in this complex and the "Shon Sharaf" state museum, which showed the great contribution of the people of Uzbekistan to the great victory during the Second World War. It should be noted here that according to information, more than 5,000 children, a number of factories, educational and scientific institutions were evacuated from Leningrad, which was besieged during the Second World War, to Uzbekistan. During the visit, the government of St. Petersburg installed a monument in the "Victory Garden" memorial complex as a symbol of deep respect for the humanity and nobility of the people of Uzbekistan, which they showed to the people of Leningrad during the war.

During the event, the members of the delegation had a heart-to-heart conversation with the veterans and got a lot of information about their sad days. At the end of the event, the veterans, who gave thanks for today's peaceful and peaceful days, performed various tunes and songs by heart.
