Composition "Tashkent railway station"
The composition work of the artist Alisher Alikulov “Tashkent Station” tells about one day at the strategically important and liveliest object of the city during World War II.

This place, from where they escorted to the front, sent help to the soldiers of the Red Army, where they took evacuated from all over the big country. At the Tashkent Station, fathers and mothers, escorting their sons and daughters to the front, urged them to boldly fight the invaders, to take an example from the brave heroes of their people. The front of the picture depicts a mother handing a loaf of bread to her son. According to tradition, the son takes a bite of bread and hands it to his mother, and the family will keep the cake until he returns home. The people also believe that this brings prosperity to the house.

We can see a young woman with a child who escorts her husband to the front. On the left, the old man blesses children on a long way and wishes good luck. In a train ready for dispatch, mobilized soldiers were already stationed. A military band performs a march on the station square.

Nearby a man reads to his comrades a newspaper with the latest news from the front, they listen to him with alarm and hope.

On the left side of the canvas depicts children with interest waiting for the train to leave. Life goes on. Pigeons as a symbol of pece inspire confidence that peaceful days will surely come.

Uzbekistan had become a reliable home for providing the front. We see how wagons were loaded with food and various things.

The scene of the arrival of adults and children of different nationalities evacuated from the frontline territories to the station is especially touching, it is filled with the kindness and cordial warmth inherent in our people.
