The Ministry of Defense announces a selection of original works on the occasion of May 9 – the Day of Remembrance and Gratitude, under the theme "Memories of World War II."
The competition aims to honor and pay tribute to all our compatriots who showed courage and bravery on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War and in forced labor camps. It seeks to immortalize their names, highlight the contribution of the Uzbek people to the Great Victory, and instill patriotism in the younger generation, ensuring that the hardships of war are never forgotten.
Students and teachers from specialized cultural schools, higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan, teachers from art schools, as well as members and instructors from the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, the Union of Artists of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, and the National Institute of Painting and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod are invited to participate.
