75th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War has been widely celebrated in Uzbekistan. The date will be etched in the history for several reasons this time around. To make the date truly historical the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. M. Mirziyoyev has issued a Resolution “On the worthy celebration of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Second World War”. A comprehensive project including monuments Ode to Fortitude, The Eternal Feat, installation Grief and Sorrow, state Museum of Glory, and a whole Victory Memorial Park have been added to the landscape of the city based on new historical data discovered. Historical importance of the May 9, 2020 as the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Second World War was highlighted in the speech of the nation’s leader which he gave during the opening ceremony of Victory Memorial Park dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Honour of our ancestors. In the speech, Head of state said: “The grandiose memorial complex built in an honor of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory is truly unique in its architectural concept, spiritual content and historical significance. It has become another vivid confirmation of the deep respect and admiration of all compatriots for the courage and heroism of our people”. This book has been published with the intention of allowing the reader to have a chance to find themselves in a virtual tour of the Victory Memorial Park which was erected with the initiative of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
